This practice is based on the belief that life force energy flows through us all, and by balancing and harmonizing this energy, Reiki aims to enhance the body's natural healing abilities, fostering a sense of peace.
During a Reiki session, you will lay down fully clothed in a quiet and peaceful environment, typically with eyes closed, and I will place my hands on or above specific areas of your body. This is a channel for universal life force energy, allowing it to flow through my hands to you. I may use music, sound bowls, crystals, sage, and essential oils during your session to assist in this.

How Does Reiki Work?

The reiki practitioner acts as a conduit for universal life force energy, gently placing hands on or above specific areas of your body. The energy flows, working to balance chakras, remove any blockages, promote relaxation, and encourage overall well-being. Many recipients report feeling a sense of warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation during the session. I like to describe it as a similar feeling as after a massage therapy session. The first time I received reiki myself, I called it a soul massage!

In-Person and Distance Reiki
Whether you choose to join me in person or experience the benefits from a distance, Reiki knows no bounds. In-person sessions allow you to fully immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance of a healing space. But for those seeking healing from afar, distance Reiki offers the remarkable ability to receive energy healing regardless of physical location. In this practice, I can send healing energy to a recipient who may be located far away, even in a different city or country. The fundamental principle behind Distance Reiki is that energy is not bound by time or space.
During a Distance Reiki session, I will use focused intention and visualization techniques to connect with the recipient's energy field. I will channel Reiki energy across the distance, directing it to the recipient's intended areas for healing. Recipients often report feeling sensations of relaxation, warmth, or subtle energy shifts, similar to in-person sessions.
Distance Reiki is a flexible option for those who cannot be physically present for a session or prefer the comfort of their own space. It can be equally effective in promoting balance, reducing stress, and supporting overall well-being. The session details, including timing and intention, will be discussed between us beforehand.

Since I am a midwife and my heart is in birth work, I also offer on-call labor Reiki to provide support whenever you need it most during your birth. I will be available to come to you at any point during labor, any time, day or night, offering calming energy and grounding to help you stay balanced and centered. Whether you prefer an in-person or a remote Reiki session, this on-call service ensures that support is always available when you need it.
